College overall can be very stressful, both in and out the classroom. There is the teacher that assigns 10 page papers that you know they wont read, the male neighbors that don't understand that 2:00 A.M. on a Tuesday is not the time to blast club level music through your walls, and guy who you mistakenly gave your number to freshman year that still won't leave you alone (even though you have ignored his last 10 text messages).
This is when we pick up the phone or log onto skype and hit up our high school homie.
The high school homie now goes to their own college with their own set of drama, and gets where you are coming from.
Plus its awesome having that person who has no connections to your school to give you the brutal truth on things and advises you to suck it up with the papers, give your neighbors a taste of their own medicine and blast some 90's pop music through their walls Sunday morning when they are trying to sleep in, and to let that boy know that he doesn't necessarily have to lose your number, but he needs to forget that he has it.
If you haven't connected with one of your high school best friends in a minute, why don't you try giving them a little ring.
The best part is that it's awesome having someone who you can talk to outside of school who won't spread ya business all over campus.
I definitely have 2 or 3 of these and it's soo much easier to be able to talk to somebody on the outside. Well at certain times anyways lol
